ABOUT JADE

Jade refers to two distinct minerals: jadeite and nephrite.
Jadeite has long been associated with Myanmar (Burma), where some of the world’s most well-known deposits are located. Today, jade continues to circulate globally as both a material and a cultural object.
Jadeite vs. Nephrite

Material: Jadeite (Jade)
Hardness: 6.5–7 (Mohs scale)
Colors: Green, purple, yellow, white, among others
Origin: Primarily from Myanmar
Jadeite is highly localized—its finest quality is almost exclusively sourced from Myanmar, making its origin notably concentrated.

Material: Nephrite (Jade)
Hardness: Mohs 6–6.5
Color: White / Green / Yellow / Brown, etc.
Origin: China, New Zealand, Canada,
Nephrite jade is widely distributed across multiple countries and regions, with notable sources in China, Russia, and Canada.

Transparency · Texture · Colour
QUALITY OF JADE

A finer, denser ,and more uniform crystal structure reduces light scattering ,resulting in higher transparency and smoother texture.

Transparent & density

Loose and uneven structure , many voids, unstable
Dense structure, uniform , low porosity stable

Color in jadeite
Jadeite occurs in a wide range of colors. Among them, green and purple are particularltly vaued.
